Let the CP of 1 article be ₹ x.

CP of 23 articles = ₹23x

CP of 23 articles = SP of 20 articles

SP of 20 articles = ₹23x

SP of 1 article = ₹23x /20

For 1 article -

SP > CP = profit

Profit = SP - CP

= ₹23x /20 - ₹x

= ₹3x /20

Profit % = profit /CP * 100

= (₹3x/20) / ₹x ×100

= 15

Ans.= The person had a profit of 15%.

Hope it helps!!!!
