=> Let the CP of an article be Rs x
=> CP of 23 articles = Rs 23x
=> CP of 20 articles = Rs 20x
=> SP of 20 articles = CP of 23 articles = Rs23x
Since ,, SP of 20 articles will be Greater than CP of 20 articles Hence ,, there is profit in the transaction
Profit of 20 articles = SP - CP = ( 23x - 20 x)
= Rs 3x
Profit Percentage (% ) = 3x/20x × 100 = 15 %
Required profit = 15 % .
