let us assume c.p(cost price)=x
=>s.p(selling price)=6x/5
we know that : loss = c.p-s.p
loss = x-6x/5
= -x/5
and percentage = loss ×100÷c.p
loss%=-X/5×100÷x
which is equal to 20%
hope it helps you

selling price = 6/5 ofCost price
let the cost price be 'x'
selling price = 6x/5
we know that
cost - cost×loss percentage= selling price
x - x×loss percentage = 6x/5
loss Percentage = 6x/5 - x
x×loss percentage = x/5
loss percentage = x/5/x = x/5x = 1/5= 0.2 = 20℅
let the cost price be 'x'
selling price = 6x/5
we know that
cost - cost×loss percentage= selling price
x - x×loss percentage = 6x/5
loss Percentage = 6x/5 - x
x×loss percentage = x/5
loss percentage = x/5/x = x/5x = 1/5= 0.2 = 20℅
