9 Elements

Correct Question:

If the set A has 3 elements and set B ={3,4,5},then find the number of elements in (A×B)

(Ex 2.1 Question 2 Class 11 Maths)

Given:

Set B = {3,4,5}

The number of elements Set A has = 3 elements

The number of elements set B has = 3 elements

To Find:

Number of elements present in (A x B)

Calculating:

Formula that is used to calculate the number of elements present in

(A x B):

= No. of elements present in set A x No. of elements present in set B

Substituting the values known to us in this formula we get:

= 3 x 3

= 9

Therefore, the number of elements in (A x B) = 9 elements
