Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The share of A is 3/7th of the total share of B and C.and total share of A, B and C is Rs. 1400.

To find:-

Find the share of A.

Solution:-

Total share of A , B and C = Rs. 1400

A + B + C = 1400 ------(1)

Share of A = 3/7th of the total share of B and C

=>A = (3/7)(B+C)

=>B+C = 7A/3 --------(2)

On Substituting the value of B+C in (1) then

=>A+(7A/3)=1400

=>(3A+7A)/3 = 1400

=>10A/3 = 1400

=>10A = 1400×3

=>10A = 4200

=>A = 4200/10

=>A = 420

Answer:-

The share of A for the given problem is Rs. 420
