3^2 +3^2=18 then diagonal of one surface come sq. root 18 and in cube we match one corner of upward by opposite corner of downward surface again use phythagorus theorem then

sq. root 18 ^2 + 3^2 =diagonal square

18 +9 =diagonal square

diagonal = sq. root 27 or 3×sq. root 3
