Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

side of a cube = a.

volume of cube =

 {a}^{3}

If the side of a cube is increased by 10%,

 \frac{10}{100}  \times a

 \frac{a}{10}

then its volume :

  { \frac{a}{10} }^{3}

 \frac{ {a}^{3} }{1000}

then its volume is increased by:

 {a}^{3}  -  \frac{ {a}^{3} }{1000}

1000a -  \frac{a}{1000}

 \frac{999a}{1000}

therefore the increased volume is

 \frac{999a}{1000}
