Let the side of square be a
Area = a^2 --------(1)
New side = a/4
New Area = (a/2)^2
New Area = a^2/4---------(2)
From equation 1 and 2, we get
New Area = Original Area /4
=> Area will be decreased by 4 times
Area = a^2 --------(1)
New side = a/4
New Area = (a/2)^2
New Area = a^2/4---------(2)
