Hiii friend,

Let the side of the square be X m

Therefore,

Perimeter of the square= 4 × side = 4 × X = 4X

Side of the square become triple . Then the new side will be 3X

Side of the new square = 3X

Perimeter of the new square = 4 × 3X = 12X

Clearly the Perimeter of new square is 3 times more than the first square.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)

Hi ,

Let the side of a first square = a units

Side of the second square = 3a units

Perimeter of first square (P) = 4a ---( 1 )

Perimeter of second square = 4 × 3a

= 3 × 4a

= 3P [ from ( 1 ) ]

Therefore ,

Perimeter of second square is 3 times

of perimeter of the first square.

I hope this helps you.
