For side=4cm

Perimeter= 4×4= 16cm

when side is doubled

side= 8cm

Perimeter=4×8= 32 cm

hence when side is doubled perimeter also gets doubled

If a square has side =4cm

it's perimeter=4×4cm = 16cm

Now if the side is double = 4cm×2 = 8cm

New perimeter=4×8=32cm
