perimeter of square=4×side
=4× x =4x ____(i)
according to the question,
new side of square=3x
perimeter=4×3x
=12x
therefore,
the number of times the perimeter of the first square as compared to new square will be
=3
the perimeter will be 3 times that of the original square.
