Answer:

a=1/2cm=0.5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

If "a" is the side of an equilateral triangle

then it's area=√3/2*a^2

If sides are increased by 2cm

Area=√3/2(a+2)^2

So  √3/2(a+2)^2-√3/2*a^2=3√3

      (a+2)^2-a^2=6

     (a+2+a)(a+2-a)=6

      2a+2=3

    2a=1

    a=1/2=0.5cm
