If the side of square is increased by 200% then by what percent would area increase?

Let the side of square be 'x'

Area of square = 4*l = 4x

If the side is increased by 200%, it would be x + 2x= 3x.

Area of square with new side = 4*3x=12x

12x/4x = 3.

So, its area would be 3 times the older area. 300%.
