Given :

The sides of a parallelogram are 9 cm and 4cm

To find:

the ratio of their corresponding altitude is?

Solution:

Side of parallelogram = 9 cm

Let h be the height corresponding to base 9 cm

Area of parallelogram =Base \times Height = 9h

Side of parallelogram = 4 cm

Let H be the height corresponding to base 4 cm

Area of parallelogram = Base \times Height = 4H

So,9h=4H

\frac{H}{h}=\frac{9}{4}

Hence the ratio of their corresponding altitude is 9:4
