If the sides of a rectangle are double .what happens to the area?

the area will be multiplied by 4

Let the length of rectangle be x
And the breath be y

Then Area = L×B
=xy

Now, A/Q
If length is doubled = 2x
And breath is doubled =2y

Area will be = l×b
=4xy


therefore area will be 4 times
