As it is a right angle triangle, we apply Pythagoras theorem

therefore,

(x−1) 2 +x 2

=(x+1) 2

⇒x 2 −2x+1+x 2

=x 2 +2x+1

⇒x 2 −4x=0

⇒x(x−4)=0

x=4 ,x=0

x=0 cannot be the side of a triangle.

One side is 4.

Other two sides

x−1=4−1=3

x+1=4+1=5
