Answer:

Perimeter = a + b + c

72 cm = 8x + 4x + 6x

72 cm = 18x

x = 72/18

x = 4cm

8x = 8 × 4 = 32cm

4x = 4 × 4 = 16cm

6x = 6 × 4 = 36cm

Answer:

Area is 32.2 cm²

Solution:-

Sides of the triangle given in the ratio:-

8:4:6

let the ratio be x ,

8x, 4x , 6x

Perimeter of the triangle = sum of all sides

72 = 8x+4x+6x

72 = 18x

x =72/18

x = 4

  • now we got the value of x

so, we can calculate the sides :-

8x = 8×4 = 32

4x = 4×4 = 16

6x = 6×4 = 24

Sides we got : 16 cm , 32 cm , 24 cm.

Now we can calculate the are using Herons formula

S = (32+16+24)/2

S = 72/2

S = 36

Area = {(36-32)(37-24)(36-16)}

{(4)(13)(20)}

(1040)

Area =32.2 cm²
