The area of the triangle is 330cm²

Given

First side = 11cm

Second side = 60cm

Third side = 61cm

To find:

Area of the triangle

Solution:

Using Heron's formula -

s = ( a + b + c )/2

Substituting the values

s = 11 + 60 + 61/2

= 132/2

= 66

Area of triangle = √s ( s - a) (s-b) (s-c)

Substituting the values

= √ 66 ( 66 - 11) ( 66 - 60 ) ( 66 - 61)

= √ 66 ( 55) ( 6) (5)

= √ 6 × 11 × 5 × 11 × 6 × 5

= 11 × 6 × 5

= 330

Answer: The area of the triangle is 330cm²
