We know that area of a triangle = √s (s-a)(s-b)(s-c), where s= (a + b +c) /2
ATQ,
a= 9cm
b= 12cm
c= 15cm
⇒ s= ( 9+ 12 + 15)/ 2
⇒ s= 36/2
⇒ s= 18
Put s= 18 in the Heron's formula and we get:
Area= √ 18 * ( 18-9)(18-12)(18-15)
⇒ √ 18 * 9 * 6 * 3
⇒ √2916
⇒ 54
So Area of Δ = 54cm²
ATQ,
a= 9cm
b= 12cm
c= 15cm
⇒ s= ( 9+ 12 + 15)/ 2
⇒ s= 36/2
⇒ s= 18
Put s= 18 in the Heron's formula and we get:
Area= √ 18 * ( 18-9)(18-12)(18-15)
⇒ √ 18 * 9 * 6 * 3
⇒ √2916
⇒ 54
So Area of Δ = 54cm²
