Let a = 8cm, b = 15cm, c = 17cm

s = (a + b + c)/2 = (8 + 15/ + 17)/2 = 40/2 = 20cm

∴ Area = root under √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)

= root under √20(20 - 8)(20 - 15)(20 - 17)

= root under √20 x 12 x 5 x 3 = 60 cm2

Answer:

60 cm2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a = 8cm, b = 15cm, c = 17cm

s = (a + b + c)/2

= (8 + 15 + 17)/2

= 40/2 ]

= 20cm

∴ Area = root under √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)

= root under √20(20 - 8)(20 - 15)(20 - 17)

= root under √20 x 12 x 5 x 3 = 60 cm2
