History was made on 21st may 2018 at Verem in North Goa when ISNV (Indian Naval Sailing Vessel) Tarini was received by the Defence Minister at INS Mandovi Jetty. Led by Lieutenant Commander Vartika Joshi, INSV Tarini became the first Indian vessel with an all-female crew to successfully circumnavigate the world.

Captain Donde told the six trainees that the sea knows no gender; he meant that the crew members have to prepare themselves physically and emotionally to face the difficulties. Keeping in touch with their family help them to become emotionally strong.
