Given :

Solubility of the salt A_{2}B_{3} = s mol / L

To find :

Solubility product of the salt A_{2}B_{3} .

Solution :

A_{2}B_{3} ----> 2A^{3+} + 3B^{2-}

Solubility product of the salt A_{2}B_{3}  = [2s]^2 * [3s]^3 mol / L

                                                         = 4s^{2} * 27s^{3} mol / L

                                                         = 108s^{5} mol / L

Solubility product of the salt  A_{2}B_{3} =  108s^{5} mol / L

  • Solubility product of a salt is also known as and denoted as ksp of the salt .
