if the solubility of a substance at a temperature is 60 , calculate the weight of solvent in 200g of saturated solution[ans=125g
if 60g of water is required to dissolved 20 g of solid at 30 degreeC, what is the solubility of the solid at the given temperature [ans=33.33]

Answer:

weight of salt = 90 gram,

solubility  = 50

sing formula

solubility of solute =weightofsolventinsaturatedsolutionweightofsoluteinsaturatedsolution×100

or 50=weightofsolventinsaturatedsolutio90gm×100

so weight of solvent in saturated solution = 5090gm×100=180gm

Hence 180 gm of water is required to prepare a saturated solution.
