Given sp is 8/5 times of cp

let cp be x

now sp = 8x/5

》profit = sp - cp

==> profit =

$\frac{8x}{5} - x \\ \frac{8x - 5x}{5} = \frac{3x}{5}$

Now profit percent =

$\frac {profit}{cp} × 100$

$\frac {profit}{cp} × 100$$\frac {\frac {3x}{5}}{x} ×100$

$\frac {profit}{cp} × 100$$\frac {\frac {3x}{5}}{x} ×100$$\frac {3x}{5x} ×100 = 60%$
