1hr = 40 km
therefore a quarter= 40/4= 10
and hence an hour and a quarter= 40+10=50 km

hope this helps!

Hi ,

speed of the motor cycle ( s ) = 40 kmph

time ( t ) = 1 1/4 = 5/4 hrs

let distance travelled = d km

we know that ,

d = s × t

d = 40 × ( 5/4 )

d = 10 × 5

d = 50 km

I hope this helps you.
