Answer:

The distance covered by the train will be 30800 m or 30.8 Km

Solution:

Given, Speed of the train = 92.4 km/hr.

If we convert this speed of the train in metre/second, we get,

Speed of the train in m/s

\begin{array} { l } { = \frac { 92.4 \times 1000 } { 60 \times 60 } \frac { m } { s } } \\\\ { = \frac { 77 } { 3 } m / s } \end{array}

Given Time = 20 minutes.

Converting the time in seconds, we get = 20 x 60 seconds = 1200 seconds

We know,

Distance = Speed x Time

Hence, Distance covered by the train

\begin{array} { l } { = \frac { 77 } { 3 } \mathrm { m } / \mathrm { s } \times 1200 \text { seconds } } \\\\ { = 30800 \mathrm { m } } \end{array}

Thus, the distance covered by the train will be 30800 m or 30.8 Km
