Wavelength of transverse wave = 2 * length of wire, as there is one loop in the vibrating string.

Wavelength = 2 m
Frequency = speed/ wavelength =
= 60/2 = 30 Hz.

Given :

velocity = 60 m/s

wavelength = 2 × length of string [ principal note ]

                    = 2 × 1 m

                    = 2 m

Formula :

Velocity = frequency × wavelength

= > 60 m/s = f × 2 m

= > f = 60 m/s / 2 m

= > f = 30 /s

= > f = 30 Hz

ANSWER:

The frequency is 30 Hz
