if the speed of an object is 0 ,its velocity must be 0.if the velocity of an object is 0 ,its speed must also be 0.are these statements correct?support your answer.

if speed is 0,velocity is 0 but if velocity is 0, it is not necessary that speed is also 0 as velocity is related to displacement while speed is to distance. if the starting and ending point is same, displacement will be 0 and hence velocity is 0. but in the same situation, the distance will be doubled and the speed will not be zero.i hope it clears your doubt
