Refractive index of a medium = Speed of light in vacuum/Speed of light in a medium 1.5 = 3 x 108 / Speed of light in medium Speed of light in the medium = 3 x 108 /1.5                                            
  = 2 x 108 m/s

1.5=3×10^8/ speed of light in any medium

Speed of light in any medium= 3×10^8/1.5
