If the speed of light is too much so when light strikes any object why light is reflected and why it gives no effect on object???

first of all light doesn't have matter. it doesn't have mass.particularly light can be produced with the accompaniment of heat this can harm the object. since light has no mass it is simply reflected back without giving any effect on the object.
