construct a right angled ∆MNO right angled at N. The length of base MN = 7 cm and altitude measure ON = 4 cm. Measure the hypotenuse.

Answer:

Hi Kunika

Step-by-step explanation:

ok so we know that an isosceles right angled triangle means the opposite(or perpendicular) and base(or adjacent) are equal

so let opposite=adjacent=x

so hypotenuse²=opposite² + adjacent²

      98=x² + x² ⇒ 98=2x² ⇒ x²=49 ⇒ x=7 (-7 is neglected as length cannot be negative)

SO OPPOSITE=x= 7cm

      ADJACENT=x=7cm

       HYPOTENUSE= √98= 7√2= 9.898cm

Hope this helps you kunika and everyone who is in need of help

thanks :)
