Solution:-

Given:-

Side of a Square = 2 units.

To Find :-

Area of shaded Region = ?

Find :-

Area of Shaded Region = Area of Square - 4( Area of Quadrant of Radius 1 unit)

=) Area of Quadrant = πr²/4

=) Area of Quadrant = (22/7 × 1² )/4

=) Area of Quadrant = 11/14 sq. units.

Now,

Area of Square = Side²

=) Area = 2²

=) Area = 4 sq. unit.

Now,

Area of shaded Region = 4 - 4( 11/14)

=) Area of shaded Region = 4 - 2(11/7)

=) Area of Shaded Region = [ 28 - 22]/7

=) Area of Shaded Region = 6/7 sq. units.

Hence,

Area of Shaded Region is 6/7 sq. units.
