We know the sum of kinetic and potential energy is constant at every point in its displacement.

When the Ball reaches the maximum height,

  • The velocity of the ball becomes zero(0).Hence the kinetic energy becomes zero.
  • Since the kinetic energy is zero, Therefore the potential energy will be maximum.

Hence the potential energy of the ball will be maximum when it reaches its maximum vertical height.
