Answer:

k=-3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

sum of root=-b/a

and product of root=c/a

here, product of root =4k/k=4

a/q, -6/k=4

4k=-6

k=-3/2⚡⚡

Given:

• Sum and product of the roots of the equation

kx²+ 6x+4k = 0 are equal .

To find :

• The value of K .

Solution:

As we know that ,

 \star \bold{ sum \: of \: roots \:  =  \frac{ - b}{a} } \\  \\  \star \: \bold{ product \: of \: roots \: =  \frac{c}{a}  }

Here , a = k , b= 6 and c= 4k .

According to question :

 \implies \bold{ sum \: of \: roots \:  =  product \: of \: roots \: } \\  \\  \implies \:  \frac{ - b}{a}  =  \frac{c}{a}  \\  \\  \implies \:  \frac{ - 6}{k}  =  \frac{4k}{k}  \\  \\  \implies \: k =  \frac{ - 6}{4}  \\  \\  \implies \: k =  \frac{ - 3}{2}

Hence, the value of K is -3/2.
