If the sum and product of the roots of the quadratic equation ax^2-5x+c=0 are both equal to 10, then find the values of a and c.

sum of roots = -(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x^2

10= -b/a

10= -(-5)/a

10= 5/a

a= 5/10

a= 1/2

now product of roots= c/a

10= c/a

10= c/1/2

2c= 10

c= 5
