if the sum of 1st and 7th terms of an AP is 36,find its middle term?

middle term = a4

a1 + a7 = 36

a + a + 6d = 36

2a + 6d = 36

2(a+3d) = 36

a + 3d = 18 — 1

a4 = a + 3d — 2

compare 1 and 2

a4 = 18
