If the sum of 2 numbers is 80 find the two numbers if they are in the ratio of 2:3

x+y=80

ratio 2:3

x/y=2/3

x=2y/3

from eq 1    x + y =80

               2y /3  + y =80

               ( 2y +3y)/3=80

               5y             =80*3

                 y             =240/5

                  y           =48

              x= 2*48/3

              x=  32

two nos are 32 and 48
