Solution:

Let the sum (P) = Rs. 100

∴ SI = \frac{1}{4}\times100=Rs.2541×100=Rs.25

Period (T) = 5 years

∴ Rate% = \frac{SI\times100}{P\times T}=\frac{25\times100}{100\times5}=5\%P×TSI×100=100×525×100=5%
