Let the number be x.

First part of the problem: a no. Added to the 2/3rd of its own.

x + (2/3)x

Second part: is equal to 55

x + (2/3)x = 55

=> (5/3)x=55

=> x= (55*3)/5

=>x=11*3

=> x=33

Hence,the original number is 33.

Rechecking through answer.

If 33 is the original number, Lets check if 22 is its 2/3rd.

33*(2/3)=>11*2=>22

Hence proved.

Gimme a thumbs up ☺

Cheers!! ☺
