$Or, (2a + (m-1)d) \times \frac{m}{2} - (2a \times (n-1)d) \times \frac{n}{2} = 0$

$Or, \frac{(m-n)a + [(m^2 -m) - (n^2 -n)]d}{2} = 0$

$Or, \frac{(m-n)a + (m - n) [m+n-1]d}{2} = 0$

$Or, (m-n)[2a + (m+n-1)d] = 0$

$Or, (m-n) \times S(m+n) = 0$

Which means either (m-n) = 0

Or, S(m +n) = 0.
