Que.If the sum of five consecutive integers is S, then the largest of those integers in terms of S is?

Let the smallest of five consecutive numbers be x, hence other four consecutive numbers are x + 1, x + 2, x + 3 and x + 4

Their sum

x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 = s

5x + 10 = s

5x = s - 10

x = s - 10/5

The smallest of five consecutive numbers is (s - 10)/5. Hence largest of five consecutive numbers is

x + 4

= (s - 10)/5 + 4

= (s - 10 + 20)/5

= (s + 10)/5

Thus the largest of five consecutive numbers is (s + 10)/5

Answer : Largest of five consecutive number in terms of s is (s + 10/5
