Let us assume the other number = a

Given that LCM = 14 * HCF

Also given,

LCM + HCF = 600

now, based on the above, putting value of LCM in terms of HCF:

14 HCF + HCF = 600

or, 15 HCF = 600

or, HCF = 600/15 = 40

Therefore,  

LCM = 560

Since HCF * LCM = product of two numbers

40 * 560 = 280 * a
