if the sum of P terms of an A. P is q and the sum of q terms is P then find the sum of (P+q) term ​

As we know the sum of nth terms in an A.P. is n/2[2a+(n-1)d]

so as per the question,

p/2[2a+(p-1)d=q---------(1)

then q/2[2a+(q-1)d]=p--------(2)

By dividing the equations we get,

d=-2(q+p)/qp

By applying the value of d in equation 1 We get the value of a

Then put the values of a and d in the equation

(p+q)/2[2a+(p+q-1)d]. You will get the answer.
