if the sum of the parellel sides of a trapezium is 12cm and the distance between the parellel sides is 5cm find out the area of the trapezium

area of trapezium = 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × height (or distance between them)

area = 1/2×12×5 => 1/2 × 60 => 30 cm²

area of trapezium = height(sum of parallel sides)/2
=5(12/2)
=5(6)
=30 cm^2
