If the sum of the zeros of the polynomial p (x) = (k2 - 14 ) x2 -2x -4 is 1. then find the value of k. Please give me the answer step by step.

Here is your answer,

(k2 - 14 ) x2 -2x -4 = 0

Sum of zeroes = -b/a

2/(k^2 - 14) = 1

k^2 - 14 = 2

k^2 = 2+14

k^2 = 16

k = √16

k = +/-4
