Let the three consecutive numbers be x, x+1,x+2
(x)+(x+1)+(x+2)=(-96)
3x+3 = -96
3x= -96-3
3x= -99
x= -99/3 = -33
so,
x = -33
x+1 = -33+1 =-32
x+2 = -33+2 = -31
hence, -31 is the largest number
