if the sum of three consecutive terms of an a.p is 51 and the product of two extermes is 273 find the numbers

let x, x+1,x+2 be the three consecutive numbers.
x+ x+1+ x+2=51
=>3x= 48
=>x=16
x+1=17
x+2=18
The numbers are 16, 17 and 18.

saurabhsemalti: no... actually you have taken consecutive no. wrong... consecutive no means the no having common difference same.... means only 16 17 18 are not consecutive but 16 18 20 or 16 20 24 are also consecutive

let nos. be a-d, a, a+d
sum=3a=51
a=17
product a^2-d^2=51
d sq=17*17-51
calculate d and put it above...
u will get nos.
