Sum of the 3 numbers is 24

(x - d) + x + (x + d) = 24

x - d + x + x + d = 24

3x = 24

x = 8

Product of the three numbers is 440

8 (8 - d) (8 + d) = 440

8( 8² - d²) = 440

64 - d² = 55

d² = 9

d = 3

Find the numbers:

x = 8

x - d = 8 - 3 = 5

x + d = 8 + 3 = 11

Answer: The numbers are 5, 8 and 11
