If the sum of two distinct whole numbers is odd, then their difference also must be odd. True or false? Why?

False
  Because
for eg: take 2 whole numbers like 5 and 3
sum of 5 and 3 is 7  -    it is odd  , but
difference of 5 and 3  -  it is even

False

Because 15 + 3 = 17 and that is odd but,

15 - 3 = 12 and that is even
