Answer:

Hello mate

Step-by-step explanation:

For example, if the two numbers are 7 and 4, then the sum is 11 and the difference is 3. When we add the sum and the difference together, we get 14, which is double the original 7. If you add your sum and difference together, then take half of the result, you have one of the numbers.

 \large\bf\underline{Given:-}

  • Sum of two numbers is 48
  • Their difference is 12

 \large\bf\underline {To \: find:-}

  • Difference between their cubes

 \huge\bf\underline{Solution:-}

 \big \{ \tt \: let \: the \: numbers \: be \: x \: and \: y

  \:  \:  \large\: \dag \:  \underbrace { \tt \:According \:  to  \: question  : -  }

➡️ the sum of two numbers is 48

  • ≫ x + y = 48.....(i)

➡️ Difference of two numbers is 12

  • ≫ x - y = 12...(ii)

»★ Solving both equations:-

»» x + y = 48

»» x - y = 12

━━━━━━━━━

»» 2x⠀ = 60

»» x⠀⠀= 60/2

  • »» x = 30

»★ putting value of x = 30 in eq.(i)

»» x + y = 48

»» 30 + y = 48

»» y = 48 - 30

  • »» y = 18

Now,

✝️ Difference between Thier cubes :-

»» x³ - y³

»» 30³ - 18³

»» 27000 - 5832

»» 21168

Difference between their cubes is 21168.
